LATIGO performed at the Heber City Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Heber City, Utah on November 10, 2007. The crowds were great, and while the folks ate the delicious barbeque dinners, LATIGO rocked the house. Many of LATIGO's close friends and fellow western folk musicians were on hand to celebrate this great gathering. This gathering was voted "Best in the U.S." by True West magazine. LATIGO hopes to be there next year - 2008!

LATIGO - Entertains audiences from many countries - at the Rockin' R Guest Ranch

LATIGO entertained many groups of visitors at the "Rockin' R" Guest Ranch last Summer and Fall 2005 season. The guest ranch is located in Antimony, Utah, and was even featured last summer on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as their famous "Intern" tested his skills as a "dude" on a horse. The ranch is also given a tribute by a song by Curly Musgrave titled "The Boys of the Old Rockin'R". This song is also performed by LATIGO. The audiences were from all over the world, and most came to witness the unique beauty and landscapes of Utah and had the good fortune to stay at the guest ranch to try their hand at riding some good trail horses through the pristine meadows and foothills near Bryce Canyon National Park.

LATIGO - First CD recording produced in 2004 - A new CD to be released in 2006!

LATIGO is currently working on a new CD to be released in 2006. The title of this CD is going to be titled "A Cowboy's Life", and will include new vocal harmonies of Ken Stevens with Monica Anderson. The CD will also reflect the excitement and energy of the live performances of LATIGO.

Latigo Presents: Fund Raiser for Autistic Children in Richfield

Latigo donated their time and talents to help the autistic children in Richfield, Utah. The concert was a fund raiser to assist the local school district to obtain sensory training equipment. The goal was a modest $500, which was the estimated cost of the equipment, but the event raised over $1500. The Snow College business students did the advertising, publicity, ticket sales, and helped with the food. The concert also included the talents of "Sam" DeLeuw, an award winning cowboy poetess and story teller. The concert event was fun for everyone and created a warm community spirit for all.

Along the Historic Highway 89 Trail in Utah is a thread of friends and family that remember the traveling bands that came to the small towns to entertain and let everyone "cut-a-rug" and dance on Friday and Saturday nights. The television brought a more passive type of entertainment, and the music become more forced, commercial, and filled with apprehension for the local folks. Now the musicians who have a song in their heart and want to preserve a heritage for the performance and celebration that has been forgotten in central and southern Utah towns are bringing back a contemporary acoustic folk and western music sound.

LATIGO is a trio of musicians that brings the romance of the rural western lifestyle together with a contemporary western music sound in a genuine heartfelt sound with masterfully musicianship. The combined talents of Ken Stevens (guitar, vocals, and song writer), Monica Anderson (bass, vocals), and Kevan Paul (fiddle, mandolin, vocals) create a sound that can entertain audiences of any age and from any place. The trio has played for audiences from all over the world; these are the travelers that come to Southern Utah to see the National Parks (Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion) and stop and rest a night or two in the heart of the red rock country. Latigo has shared with those seeking a truthful western music experience.
